郭炳湘 博士
Dr. Walter KWOK Ping Sheung

郭炳湘博士，现年五十九岁，为全国政协第十及十一届常委，现任新鸿基地产郭氏基金副主席，毕业于英国伦敦大学帝国学院，获土木工程学士、结构工程硕士及荣誉博士学位；获颁授的荣衔及公职包括：同济大学第一届校董事会校董、南京大学名誉校董、西藏文化保护与发展协会常务理事长、北京市及广州市荣誉市民等。
郭氏现为新鸿基地产发展有限公司非执行董事，亦为英国土木工程师学会会员及香港工程师学会会员。在社区参与方面，曾为香港公益金历届董事委员会主席、现为香港中文大学工商管理硕士课程顾问委员会委员及香港科技大学顾问委员会荣誉委员。

郭氏热爱祖国，响应“科教兴国”的号召，积极参与慈善活动，本着育才树人的信念，致力推动国内的教育及文化资助活动。他为人儒雅，热爱中华文化，对文物收藏甚有心得。郭氏曾拜会中共中央及国家多位领导，致力就保持和推动香港的稳定繁荣及配合祖国的各项发展作出贡献及表达意见。另又曾会见西方多国政要商贾，保持良好紧密的商业协作关系，积极促进国内外的经济、教育及文化等多方面的交流。

Dr. Kwok, aged 59, is a Standing National Committee Member for the 10th and 11th terms of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He is presently the Vice-Chairman of Sun Hung Kai Properties – Kwoks' Foundation Ltd. Dr. Kwok holds an Honorary Doctor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. He is also an Honorary Trustee of Tongji University, Nanjing University, a Standing Committee Member of China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture, and Honorary Citizen of Beijing and Guangzhou in PRC.

Dr. Kwok is a non-Executive Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Group. He is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, U.K. and a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Civil Engineers. On the community front, Dr. Kwok was the Chairman of the Former Directors Committee of The Hong Kong Community Chest. He is a Member of MBA Programmes Committee of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an Honorary Member of The Court of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Kwok is a generous philanthropist to nurture talents and promote the education, culture and heritage development in order to build a strong China. He has a strong passion for Chinese culture and antiques collection. Dr. Kwok often meets with many Chinese national leaders to share thoughts and make effort to maintain the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong and China. He stays in a very good relationship with overseas business associates and political leaders. Dr. Kwok also contributes to foster the value of economic, educational and cultural exchange across borders.
